Health Care

It is well known that 85% of all healthcare needs can be managed effectively at the primary care level, and that the costs of care are substantially lower. Keeping this value proposition in mind Foundation for Community Development and Health Care in India” (FCDHCI) envisaged a MMU services to meet the demands of rural and remote hilly areas in particular where  health care facilities are beyond the reach of poor and disadvantaged communities Programs . The health programs Spectrum Foundation  for Community Development and Health Care in India” (FCDHCI) Are:-

  • Mobile Primary Health Care Units preferable In remote rural and tribal for disadvantage old, frail and women belonging to marginalized section of society.
  • Mobile Cancer Care Units for Awareness Generation and Early Detections (Cancer Screening Camps).
  • Mobile Palliative Home Care Unit for Terminally ill patient with life threatening diseases.

Geriatric Social Work (Old Age Care)

In India, there are nearly 120 million elderly people with various physical, psychosocial, economic, and spiritual problems. While the functionally and cognitively fit elderly can access usual health-care facilities available, these people need an active aging program to keep them independent. This is where geriatric social work comes into play. Foundation for Community Development and Health Care in India” (FCDHCI) supports programmes built on UN principles for old aged care. It supports health improvement for senior citizens by preventing and treating diseases and disability that often come with ageing. It seeks to provide digital literacy to senior citizens for making them less dependent on others, Foundation for Community Development and Health Care in India” (FCDHCI) wishes to establish Old Age Home/Geriatric Care Centre and recreational home for the aged in areas where there are none. 

School Social Work

Foundation for Community Development and Health Care in India” (FCDHCI) works with children and adolescents who are at-risk, come from diverse backgrounds, having mental health challenges, developmental disabilities and other social issues to improve their overall well-being, remove barriers, and promote their academic success. It seeks to cultivate among the children traditional social and cultural values.

Environmental Education & Protection

Foundation for Community Development and Health Care in India” (FCDHCI) imparts environmental education through camps in various societal groups, schools, and institutions which enables individuals and communities to explore environmental issues affecting them at large engage in problem-solving, and take action to improve the environment. Its environmental protection programs aim at reducing risks to the environment from contaminants such as hazardous materials and wastes, fuels, and oils that are threatening the future of man on planet earth.

Financial Assistance Programmes to persons suffering from life-threatening diseases

Foundation for Community Development and Health Care in India” (FCDHCI) within its capacity and resources provide financial assistance to person suffering from life threatening illnesses like cancer for their treatment.

Setting up of Community Libraries

Community libraries are local hubs that provide access to learning resources, promote literacy, and enhance community engagement. They offer diverse reading materials, host events, and serve as cultural and educational centers. These libraries empower communities by fostering inclusivity, providing digital access, and supporting children and youth development. Built on community support, they contribute significantly to local education and overall community development.

Setting up of Public Library

Public libraries play an important role in the educational, social, economic, and cultural development of the local community. They also play a vital role in eradicating poverty and illiteracy among poor and marginalized communities. The UNESCO manifesto also stresses the need for public libraries for lifelong learning, independent decision making & cultural development of individuals as well as groups in the society.

Publication of Research Journal on Social and psychological Sciences

The aim of Journal is to publish concise reports of empirical studies that provide meaningful contributions to our understanding of important issues in social and psychology. Foundation for Community Development and Health Care in India” (FCDHCI) seeks to publish innovative, rigorous, and impactful research studies.

Community Psychiatry Programme

The Foundation For Community Development and Health Care in India (FCDHCI) employs
community-based interventions, collaboration with mental health professionals, social workers, and volunteers to provide accessible
mental healthcare to the community. Our CPP includes awareness campaigns, skill-building workshops, and early detection programs.
